Job OverviewJensen Hughes continually seeks qualified mid- and senior-level engineers with expertise in Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA), Advanced Nuclear technology, and risk-based licensing experience with a developed client base to join our team. These talented individuals will support our regulatory and risk-based client needs. Our project team is based in West Chester, PA; however, we offer remote work options for the right candidates. As a global consulting firm for the nuclear industry, we provide a range of specialized technical services, from daily nuclear power plant operations to cutting-edge research and development in plant safety.
Responsibilities As a Consulting Engineer with us, you'll become part of a dynamic network of nuclear consultants across the country. Your role will involve developing PRA and risk-based analyses, performing calculations and assessments, and providing guidance for various nuclear industry projects. These projects may include engineering analyses, regulatory and licensing support, machine learning applications, software development, and PRA-based licensing applications. Key to your success in this role will be a strong foundation in engineering principles, quick learning ability, an analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications - B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience required
- Prior experience in PRA, nuclear licensing or advanced nuclear is required
- Excellent communications and writing skills
Preferred qualifications:- Experience with PRA internal events, fire PRA, external hazards, risk-informed applications (e.g., RICT, 50.69), online risk tools, or other risk-based or engineering-based projects a plus
- Experience with nuclear power plant engineering, nuclear plant systems, licensing, operations, or other on-site or corporate technical departments
- Experience with one or more commercial nuclear risk software tools (e.g., CAFTA, Phoenix Architect, HRA Calculator, MAAP, PRAQuant, PARAGON, SPAR) a plus
- Project management skills a plus
