About the role We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Director to join our Red Arrow Smoke & Grill division.
This is a strategic role to accelerate the growth of Red Arrow in Europe. Based in Germany, the role will be responsible for leading a team of Technical Sales Representatives for direct customer engagement, partnering with business units in CE, SE, UK&I and EUM.
This is an excellent opportunity to utilise an extensive knowledge of Meat/Fish smoking paired with proven sales leadership, to help drive our Red Arrow business forward as well as introducing new products into the market.
What you'll be doing Within this role, you'll be responsible for leading a team in order to:
- Grow top line sales.
- Leverage and build on Kerry's differentiating lock-in business model of Smoke Liquid / Atomization Equipment / Service.
- Identifying 'New Growth' opportunities.
- Bring thought leadership to innovative Smoking.
- Secure our position as a sustainable partner with best available technique (BAT).
- Achieve annual budgets and 5Y growth plan for Kerry Red Arrow.
- Collaborate with the wider Taste & Food Protection teams to develop and execute the business plans and strategies.
- Utilize and further accentuate Kerry's winning service model to achieving best in class customer experience.
- Maintain our SFPP-containing Smoke Flavourings business and flawlessly transition to NxtGen Smoke during EU transition period.
What you can bring to the role - Significant experience within commercial/sales - selling ingredients into the meat/meat alts category.
- Relevant degree in Meat/Food/Nutrition Science, Chemistry/Microbiology/Biology (Food Protection), or related field from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience as a Master Butcher/Meat Technologist with experience in Smoke House processes and technology.
- Fluent in German and English conversation.
- Based in Germany to strengthen our newly build Centre of Excellence in Frankfurt area.
