The Senior Director of Paths to Healing will serve as the leader, external face and visionary for Rising Grounds comprehensive services for individuals and communities impacted by trauma and community violence. This critical role will oversee a portfolio of innovative, trauma-informed programs, including the Criminalized Survivors Program, Community-Based Services for Survivors of IPV/GBV, Community-Based Services for Survivors of Trauma, Violence, and Crime, the Respect and Responsibility Program, and the Trauma Recovery Center. The Senior Director will be responsible for the overall management, growth, and sustainability of these programs, and managing a team of directors and clinical professionals ensuring the highest quality of services while fostering a culture of trauma informed care and staff well-being. This role will oversee program development, implementation, evaluation, quality assurance and audit processes to ensure excellence and innovation in the delivery of our services.
The Senior Director will serve a key role in strategic planning to increase the impact of our work, build program capacity, and expand the reach of services to meet the evolving needs of New York City's most marginalized populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and leadership to all programs within the Paths to Healing (PTH) programs.
- Supervise and support directors, clinicians, and staff teams across Paths to Healing programs providing regular support, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure PTH programs and staff have a space to foster collaboration and innovation in our work.
- Serve as a Liaison to community partners, funders, stakeholders and advocates. Represent Rising Ground at community events, conferences, and meetings.
- Provide fiscal oversight for all Paths to Healing Programs ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Ensure the timely submission of reports as required by funders and Rising Ground.
- Oversee quality assurance practices across programs, ensuring PTH programs meet or exceed performance goals and outcomes.
- Ensure PTH Programs are audit ready at all times.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance department and program directors to ensure effective data collection, management and reporting.
- Establish and implement internal QA processes and procedures including data management collection across all Paths to Healing Programs.
- Develop and maintain systems that prioritize the dignity and well-being of persons served in PTH programs by tracking meaningful outcomes, evaluating program impact through a trauma-informed lens, and ensuring the implementation of evidence-based practices that reflect the unique needs and lived experiences of marginalized communities
- Collaborate with Rising Ground development staff to on fundraising initiatives, assist with grant writing, and contract management for foundation and government grants.
- Cultivate relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and advocacy groups to increase program visibility and foster collaboration in service delivery.
- Advocate for survivors and PTH programs through public speaking, outreach, and participation in community coalitions focused on survivors of IPV, GBV, and trauma and violence.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage new community partners and funders who share a commitment to trauma-informed, restorative justice practices.
- Ensure that all PTH programs meet or exceed Rising Ground's standards for trauma-informed care and interventions.
Qualifications
- LCSW, master's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in program leadership or management within trauma-informed, survivor-centered services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bi-lingual a plus / preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Comfort traveling throughout NYC
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes late evenings, weekends
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care, anti-oppressive practice, restorative justice, and social justice advocacy.
- Experience in program development and budget management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize teams around a shared vision.
- Exceptional understanding of the systemic barriers faced by survivors of trauma, IPV/GBV, and criminalization.
- Experience working with diverse populations, LGBTQ+ communities of color
- Experience leading and supporting multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, kindness, and compassion in all interactions.
- Commitment to fostering a trauma-informed culture within the organization and advocating for its integration across all workplace practices and approaches.
Salary Range 115k - 125k
