As a leading player in the biomass industry, they are expanding their operations and looking for a dedicated Regional Fiber and Logistics Manager to help them achieve their mission. Position Overview: The Regional Fiber and Logistics Manager plays a critical role in securing and managing fiber procurement, overseeing logistics, and supporting sustainability efforts for biomass pellet plants in the U.S. Southeast. This position will focus on optimizing fiber supply and delivery for both existing and future facilities, primarily within Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and buyers in the regional fiber market. Monitor and track fiber deliveries to ensure contract compliance and quality standards. Provide strategic insights into market opportunities, risks, and developments. Collaborate with the Fiber Manager to manage sustainability certifications and practices. Oversee the logistics of wood pellet deliveries via rail and truck, ensuring adherence to contract performance and quality assurance. Negotiate and manage contracts for fiber and logistics to support operational expansion. Primary Objectives: Ensure raw material and logistics operations align with contract terms and company goals. Stay informed on regional fiber and logistics developments, providing regular updates to leadership. Secure fiber supply and transportation solutions at the best quality and cost. Actively support local sustainability initiatives. Qualifications: Extensive experience in forestry, agricultural resources, or commodity procurement. Expertise in rail and truck logistics, contract management, and sustainability certifications. Familiarity with wood or feed pellet production and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Solid understanding of quality assurance and control processes. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and supply chains simultaneously. Willingness to travel (domestic travel over 25%, with some international trips). Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Agricultural Economics, Business, or a related field. 5 years of experience in biomass or residuals procurement in the U.S. Southeast.
