Enterprise Products Operating LLC is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer/Scientist for a field position located in Houston, Texas. The Senior Environmental Engineer or Scientist will be a team member in the Corporate LDAR team group within the Environmental Department and will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Corporate LDAR programs across the entire footprint of the company. The hired employee will work at the Enterprise corporate office in Houston with ~25% travel requirements to Enterprise field assets. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Identify and investigate LDAR compliance improvement opportunities.
• Be the "customer service" link on LDAR matters to the operational teams with LDAR programs.
• Support and implement corporate EHS&T directives.
• Communicate internal best practices as applicable to assigned facilities/operations personnel.
• Provide input to the EHS&T staff to improve LDAR procedures and practices as necessary.
• Maintain and QA/QC of LDAR databases, including use of LeakDas and Skybridge
• Coordinate and maintain Method 21 and Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) data and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for multiple sites.
• Work with Supply Chain to maintain competitive pricing and high-quality service of 3rd party LDAR contractors.
• Coordinate and work with internal and external stakeholders on environmental consent decree matters related to LDAR.
• Develop site specific LDAR documents.
• Participate in internal audits (field and desktop) related to LDAR compliance.
• Participate in industry trade groups to gain knowledge and best practices for LDAR.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in engineering or science is preferred.
• 5-10 plus years of relevant experience in the industry or consulting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge in Federal and State LDAR and air quality rules (e.g., NSPS, HON, MON, CDPHE Reg 7, TCEQ, LDEQ, NMED, etc.).
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels both internally and externally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Possess the ability to work independently and self-manage work and schedules.
