Gannett Fleming is looking for a
Project Manager to join its subsidiary, Gannett Fleming Valuation and Rate Consultants, LLC, to join its Energy and Decarbonization group.
Gannett Fleming Valuation and Rate Consultants, LLC provides litigation support, expert testimony, and management consulting services to hundreds of electric, gas, water, wastewater and railroad companies throughout North America. The firm is preeminent in the field of utility depreciation, providing detailed statistical studies of utility infrastructure such as power plants, electric grids, natural gas systems, and water and wastewater systems.
The newly formed Energy group provides consulting support to a wide range of industry segments assisting clients to decarbonize their operations through emissions goal setting, emissions reduction strategies, evaluation of new technologies, planning and execution of renewable energy deployment, energy efficient and net zero energy building design support, policy analysis, and other value-added services leading towards decarbonization.
The project manager will work with the Valuation and Rates team and other teams at Gannett Fleming in a highly collaborative manner to identify opportunities for the Energy team and to ensure those other groups are successful in their endeavors that have energy or emissions related components of their projects that have a broader scope. In addition, the project manager will be tasked with identify new project and client opportunities specific the Energy group, as well as management of a portfolio of energy related projects.
Responsibilities:- Makes decisions on phasing and scheduling of projects. Prepares and/or ensures preparation of schedules for planning, design and construction.
- Monitors schedules and takes appropriate actions to ensure that project is completed on schedule and within approved cost limitations.
- Provides ongoing interface with contractors, construction managers and the client on project issues
- Participates in the development and issuance of project procedures and policies; reviews and makes recommendations on procedures and policies.
- Perform site visits as necessary to inform project understanding/requirements.
- Uses independent judgement to make on-site decisions.
- Seeks out new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert on energy related tasks across other company lines of business

Minimum Qualifications - B.S. Degree in Mathematics, Business, Engineering or related field, or B.A./B.S. degree in a sustainability/energy related field of study
- 5 - 10 years project management experience
- Experience interfacing with clients including providing project deliverables and providing reports, PMP certification a plus.
- 0 - 5 years in a business development environment
- Proficiency in clean energy and decarbonization concepts including energy efficient buildings, alternative transportation (e.g., electric vehicles, biofuels, etc.), renewable energy development, climate and energy policy, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and Access)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- A motivated individual with a willingness and desire to learn
- An ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently with strong time management skills in a team environment
- Willingness for occasional travel to client sites
- This is planned to be a hybrid role, i.e., combination of remote and in-office.
