Quality and Environmental Safety Assistant Manager

The Ohio Art Company, a world leader in the metal decorating and metal stamping business and a Northwest Ohio company in business for over 115 years, has a need for a Quality and Environmental Safety Assistant Manager. This position will assist with all aspects of the Quality Management System, ISO and Environmental Safety requirements.
Responsibilities
• Assist with all aspects of the Ohio Art Quality Management System, ISO and EPA requirements, including employee safety programs.
• Implement, maintain and communicate workplace health and safety programs throughout the organization, including training.
• Conduct risk assessments, accident analysis and accident investigations offering corrective action if needed.
• Adhere to a corporate safety calendar and conduct/attend monthly safety meetings throughout the organization.
• Adhere to company quality standards that will meet customer expectations.
• Ensure all OSHA required and company safety programs are maintained.
• Communicate all quality standards to supervisors and employees in manufacturing, including documentation.
• Address customer concerns, conducting root cause analysis.
• Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluation products and production equipment.
• Ensure detailed and recorded inspections of final products are conducted in order to meet standards.
• Work with the management team to make decisions regarding efficiency and potential impacts on quality.
• Continue to ensure all requirements for ISO 9001-2015 certification are met.
• Adhere to an internal audit schedule annually, ensuring internal auditors are trained.
• Maintain the quality metrics and CPAR log.
• Ensure root cause analysis, verify effectiveness for CPARS and maintain/communicate the ISO/QMS system throughout the organization.
• Renews air permits for EPA and verifies they are current. Submits the application for the company and any modifications if needed.
• Tracks VOC and HAP (hazardous air pollutants) data for products under the scope of the permits, completed monthly calculations.
• Ensures the following are completed annually; fee emissions report, chemical inventory report (312) and toxic release inventory (313).
• Ensures the bi-annual RCRA is completed.
• Accounts for all haz waste and removes from site according to RCRA requirements.
• Ensures supplier data sheets are current and available for all products.
