About This OpportunityWe are seeking a Program Manager for the Rocky Mountain Power energy efficiency program serving small and mid-sized industrial and agricultural customers (i.e. all industrial and agricultural customers except the largest, which are served specifically via another program channel). This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a program that delivers on our client's request to significantly boost savings among these customers while providing excellent customer service. This is a player-manager role affording opportunity to expand both technical and managerial experience in a supportive collegial environment. Additional facets of the position include consultative technical sales, customer experience management, and regulatory compliance. The role involves frequent interaction with customer staff (equipment operators, facility managers, business managers), vendors of industrial and agricultural equipment, other engineers within and outside of Cascade, other energy professionals, and utility staff.The basic program offering to customers of Rocky Mountain Power and the vendors who work with them is twofold:
- Provide engineering expertise to identify savings opportunities and, through technical and financial analysis, distinguish between those that are worthwhile and those that are merely marginal, and
- Offer and administer incentive funding from the utility to help make efficiency projects so worthwhile that customers decide to implement and even, ideally, come back for more.
The program manager (PM) leads a team that interacts with vendors and customers to identify efficiency opportunities, analyzes and recommends energy saving ideas, quantifies financial implications, communicates the results, and verifies the savings of completed projects. A key element of this program is developing relationships with equipment suppliers, such as air compressor vendors.
The PM is responsible for program outcomes, budget, spending, workflow management, and cost effectiveness. The PM oversees and guides the program team to continuously improve the program's core offerings with new and innovative energy savings tools and processes.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage the team; work with individual members to set goals for performance and professional development. Manage performance in supportive and encouraging ways.
- Review and approve analyses, studies, reports, incentive offers, and other project- and program-related work products.
- Plan and manage outreach and marketing activities to attain savings goals.
- Manage budget, spending, revenue, and profitability.
- Provide regular forecasts and reporting on energy savings, spending, revenue, and project activity.
- Coordinate with Finance & Accounting and with the client to complete regular invoicing.
- Represent Cascade to the utility, vendors, and end-users. Resolve any misunderstandings or conflicts that may arise.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and customers via in-person visits to their sites and offices, calls, and email.
- Analyze savings opportunities, prepare engineering studies/reports. Collect, organize, and analyze data. This may entail installing and retrieving dataloggers and associated safety training.
- Work with various project tracking systems to maintain entries, use reports, and export data.
- Use judgment to make decisions about policy and relationship matters, which may involve "gray areas," multiple priorities and perspectives, and ambiguous claims.
- Provide support for program evaluation and measure development as needed.

This full-time, exempt position is located in our
Pleasant Grove, Utah office and reports to the Director - Mountain West. The position requires approximately 30% travel, most of which is local. Working remotely part of the time is an option.
QualificationsApplicants for this role are required to have:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher with a technical focus, such as Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a similar, applicable field, or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-6 years of experience with industrial energy efficiency or equivalent engineering.
- Experience in industrial settings with industrial clients.
- Experience with project management, management coaching, and consulting.
- Past supervisory responsibilities or mentoring experience.
- Demand Side Management experience.
A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
- Ability to cultivate customer relationships and translate clients' needs into short- and long-term business strategies.
- Broad communication skills, comfortable with people at all levels of an organization, from plant managers to equipment operators.
- Understanding of the industrial project approval process as well as typical barriers to this process and techniques for working through barriers.
- A strong grasp of project financial metrics and the use of these metrics to sell projects to key decision makers.
- Excellence in management, organization, and mentorship.
- Background experience in project engineering work methods and the ability to independently take on project work.
- Understanding of energy-efficiency technologies and policies; familiarity with energy analysis and auditing techniques.
- Technical sales experience is a plus.

Compensation & BenefitsOur total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. The salary range for this position in
Salt Lake City is $110,200 - $134,710/year However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
