TOP is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. About the Job Triple Oak is hiring a Community Engagement Director to lead community relations at our renewable energy development projects nationwide. The Community Engagement Director will be a key part of the External Affairs and Development teams, helping Triple Oak live up to its mission of developing sustainable energy plants and principles of transparency and honesty, delivering benefits to communities, customers and investors. Key Responsibilities Oversee community engagement in Triple Oak project communities throughout the Central and Western U.S. Work closely with Development teams to build local relationships and project support, address concerns effectively and advocate benefits of renewable energy projects Research project communities to assess and support internal understanding of the political lay of the land in each project location Manage project Community Liaisons, ensuring they have the resources and support needed for effective community engagement Craft community engagement plans in collaboration and coordination with project teams Develop and support implementation of comprehensive project communication plans, including, content creation, project website and social media Collaborate internally with multiple teams and with external consultants to ensure consistent messaging and alignment on project strategy Advise on creation of community benefit agreements and corporate sponsorships. Create uniform structure/database for tracking stakeholder engagement Participate in industry association and other relevant organizations with a focus on community engagement and local affairs Represent Triple Oak at community events, meetings, forums, and other venues. Provide regular reports to senior management Required Qualifications 7-10 years of experience in community relations or political organizing, policy or project management, policy or political staff to elected official or agency, or other related areas Strong preference for experience on political and/or issue-based campaigns Experience and interest in renewable energy and/or energy development Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills Experience in coalition building and in working with diverse stakeholders Experience working or living in rural communities Bachelor’s degree preferred Application Please apply via email to Jobstripleoakpower.com with a resume and a cover letter detailing relevant experience for the position.
