I am searching for a Department Manager (Ops Excellence Manager) who will be based in the PMO office of the end client undertaking a range of projects in their portfolio. The positions will be based in the Middle East on a residential contract for the duration of five years.
Key Responsibilities:
The role involves:
- Reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes for the PMO, ensuring consistency with the PMM.
- Overseeing risk management, project monitoring, and reporting.
- Assessing PMO staff capabilities and implementing a knowledge transfer program.
- Establishing performance metrics, dashboards, and reports.
- Ensuring accurate project data input into PMIS systems.
- Coordinating performance evaluations of contractors and consultants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 20 years + experience in a project management environment on large scale projects
- Involvement in continuous improvement and capacity building/talent development.
- Working knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up/set-up work processes.
- Expertise in site engineering, project controls, EHS, and contract management.
