Job Summary Responsible for the sustainable and strategic expansion of internship programs for Kennesaw State undergraduates. Oversees and implements a scale of experiential learning opportunities across the university by serving as an educational conduit between industry and academia for student success as an integral member of the Career Planning and Development department. Implements a collaborative approach to create strategic initiatives supporting student career preparation directly related to professional workforce demands. Supervises the experiential learning team who process requests for academic credit from all colleges resulting in experiential learning course enrollment. Initiates and executes campus-wide and college-specific endeavors to increase student engagement in experiential learning. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Meets with employers on a regular basis to understand specific workforce demands and strategize how career planning and development department can foster student development to meet these demands 2. Directs the strategic planning, development, and implementation of experiential learning programs across the university, including collecting, analyzing, and reporting data regarding experiential learning engagement in collaboration with department leadership 3. Supervises assigned staff members who assist with processing requests for academic credit for experiential learning experiences 4. Positions career planning and development as the go-to resource for experiential learning questions, operations, opportunities, and best practices 5. Assesses effectiveness and opportunities for improvement in programming and career readiness skill development 6. Works closely with the career planning and development employer relations team members ensuring seamless communication and effective and non-redundant services among employers and campus partners 7. Represents the career planning and development department at meetings, conferences, and other events as relevant to role 8. May develop and present speeches or presentations to generate or enhance awareness of experiential learning program(s) 9. Provides support by evaluating established processes, conducting training, attending operational meetings to scale experiential learning program offerings 10. Conducts research, designs new initiatives, and collaborates with others to ensure consistency and streamlining of processes across campus 11. Monitors progress toward achieving established objectives and deadlines 12. Commits to supporting an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing team culture 13. May serve on, hold office in, or chair committees Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education Required Experience Seven (7) years of experience in Career Services, Early Talent Development, Human Resources or related field including previous supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Handshake, Banner, DegreeWorks, Owl Express, or other higher education student information systems Preferred Educational Qualifications An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field Preferred Experience Experience collaborating with university stakeholders and faculty Proposed Salary The budgeted salary range is $58,000 to $72,600.
