Responsibilities- Demonstrates understanding of Olympic Center policies regarding communication with members, guests and staff
- Compiles and organizes participant registration forms ensuring all participants are appropriately paid, registered and screened
- Arrives to class early and has necessary equipment prepared in advance
- Greets each participant entering the aquatics area with an enthusiastic attitude and ensures they get to know the individual by name
- Demonstrates understanding of providing safe, fun and professional swim instruction
- Presents a well planned, energetic, and educational swim class
- Monitors all participants ensuring lessons are productive and makes adjustments as necessary
- Provides support by assisting in maintaining the aquatics environment
- Promotes the facility's services and offerings to class participants
- Attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings and participates in required training
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- Current certification as a group fitness instructor or leader from a national fitness organization
- Aquatic Fitness Certification preferred
- CPR and AED certification within 90 days of employment
Preferred Requirements:
- American Red Cross Lifeguard certification
