Position Summary
POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY
Collect and analyze UNMC/Neb Med energy data to make operational and maintenance recommendations to ensure reliability, redundancy, and efficient campus energy systems. Utilize data collected to make recommendations for improvement to campus utilities, building controls, and building maintenance and operations.
Advise campus planning and construction efforts as they relate to energy and utility usage.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Engineering, Controls, or District Energy field
(Will consider 14 years related education and experience combined of which 7 years must include related experience in a lead role)
Required Experience

Experience in utility operations or District energy and programming and controls environment to include a minimum of seven years' experience in a lead role.
Required License

Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Management (CEM), or City of Omaha 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade stationary engineer's license.

Strong technical knowledge in computer applications, computer programing, and data base management.
Ability to provide solutions to complex problems in an expedited fashion.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Leadership and organizational skills including communication, scheduling, prioritization, and construction management.
Ability to effectively schedule and manage complex operations and multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to provide direction and manage quality performance.
