Job DescriptionResponsible for the day to day management of the Idaho State University EML Laboratory which performs radioanalytical work the State of Idaho's Department of Environmental Qualities (IDEQ) INL Oversight Program.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high quality QA and Data generation
- Maintain all radiation detection instrumentation and other laboratory equipment.
- Serve as a technical consultant on environmental sampling to the INL Over-site program
- Contribute to on-time high quality data and QA report generation
- Mentor students
- Support academic programs
Minimum Qualifications- B.S. in Health Physics, Physics, Chemistry or Nuclear Engineering
- Substantial integrated radio-analytical laboratory experience with knowledge, operational understanding, and basic maintenance and repair skills applicable to every type of radiation detection and laboratory equipment commonly used in radio-analytical labs
Preferred Qualifications- Extensive laboratory experience
- M.S. in Health Physics
