LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PROJECT MANAGER SUMMARY: Conducts research, prepares plans, produces designs, and administers projects for commercial and public clients and supervises subordinates and/or other project team members by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provides project management including preparation of plans, scheduling, budgeting, projections, reports, billing, quality control, and progress IAW company policy/procedures, regulatory guidelines, and professional standards.
- Provides landscape architectural services to other Crafton Tull offices.
- Consults with client on "in-house" projects to determine requirements for new projects, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Prepares project schedules, develops scope of work, drafts contract, and integrates design elements into unified plans for client review and approval.
- Researches and prepares proposals for clients.
- Coordinates with Accounting to set up new projects and prepares invoices for clients.
- Manages project schedules, staff utilization and coordinates with Org. leader on progress.
- Assists the client in negotiations with consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and vendors.
- Oversees the construction administration of each project.
- Coordinates projects with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal departments.
- Forecasts workload assignments and allocates resources to develop projects.
- Directs activities of landscape architects, landscape designers, associates, interns and technicians engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.
- Prepares operational and regulatory reports as required by company policy and regulatory agencies and ensures all are submitted to meet deadlines.
- Makes business development calls or emails to existing and potential customers to assist in the company marketing effort.
- Ensures visibility of the company through attendance at public meetings, participation in civic organizations, and participation in public service and charitable activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of project team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Professional degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited college or university; and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certification as Registered Landscape Architect licensed to practice in your state and able to become certified in other states as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebraic functions and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess valid driver license.
