The Associate Manager, Energy Remanufacturing Technical Programs is responsible for leading our Energy Remanufacturing technical functions, including Process, Equipment, NPI, and Manufacturing Engineering. This leader will support Remanufacturing RCA efforts, Service production support and continuous improvement, and our program management functions. This role will also be responsible for leading and mentoring the Engineers and Program Managers on the team, helping them grow personally and professionally.
Responsibilities - Make daily resource allocation decisions, balancing competing priorities, to serve the needs of the engineering, maintenance, and production communities
- Build & improve management systems to ensure all equipment operates safely, with high availability & product quality and low cycle time and that our manufacturing processes are robust and demonstrating strong process capability
- Ensure that NPI processes and guidelines are always followed and conduct regular reviews of the process, iterating to make improvements whenever required by business needs
- Lead and assist engineers in resolving unplanned down events and driving permanent RCAs, using the 3D/8D process where applicable
- Own headcount and resource planning for projects currently in progress and planned expansion activities
- Own, report on and drive improvement of area KPIs, including equipment availability, efficiency and cycle time, yield, cost, and capacity
Requirements - Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- 4+ years' experience leading technical teams within automated, high volume manufacturing facilities, including but not limited to electromechanical assembly, robotics, etc.
- Executive level communication skills, both verbal and written to both technical and non-technical team members
- Thorough understanding of product validation processes, production operations, DFM, material movement, and lean manufacturing practices
- Ability to manage and execute multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, dynamically adjusting priorities to meet changing business needs
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams
- Outstanding problem-solving skills; adverse in various problem solving methodologies
