MyTana and Pipeline Renewal Technologies (PRT) are both companies that serve the wastewater and sewer inspection industries with a focus on different aspects of pipeline maintenance and renewal.
MyTana manufactures equipment for drain cleaning, sewer inspection, and maintenance. Their products are geared towards plumbers, contractors, and municipalities who need tools to clean, inspect, and repair pipelines and sewer systems.
- Sewer inspection cameras and systems
- Locating equipment for pinpointing issues in pipes
- Tools for pipe repair and replacement
PRT focuses on products for the rehabilitation of pipelines, particularly without the need for excavation (trenchless technologies).
- Pipe rehabilitation systems (CIPP, UV curing, relining solutions)
- Robotic cutters for precision work inside pipes
- Inspection cameras and systems for condition assessment
- Lateral and mainline pipe repair tools
The General Manager is responsible for leading this $15MM combined business and will provide strategic, commercial, operational, and technical leadership to grow the business with a focus on improving profitability. With three sites (two in St. Paul, MN and one in Randolph, NJ), MyTana & PRT has approximately 40 employees.
Reporting Relationships:
The MyTana - PRT General Manager will report directly to the Water Infrastructure Inspection & Rehab President. This role's direct reports will include leaders of HR, Sales, Operations, and Engineering. The Finance leader will report functionally to the Platform Finance leader with dotted line reporting to the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
The General Manager will provide strategic, commercial, and technical leadership to the business. This will require the leader to determine the long-term strategy to continue strategic growth in focused end markets (Residential Plumbing, Municipal Wastewater). This role will drive the achievement of sustainable revenue growth while improving profit margins and building a culture of continuous improvement with teams capable of collaborating cross-functionally and making decisions together. The General Manager will focus on customer obsession, building great teams, diversity, equity, and inclusion all while living our Core Values of Trust, Team, and Excellence.
- Full Profit/Loss responsibility for a $15 MM business
- Develop a business strategy that includes a robust commercial strategy in distribution and key account development.
- Increase profitability by 20% by 2027 to achieve the Intelligent Water platform growth goal.
- Create and sustain a high-performance culture that works together to make decisions, integrate new ideas, and deliver experiences and products that delight our customers.
- Focus on increasing the development of new products that further the company's ability to win and enhance the platform's ability to respond to customer needs rapidly.
- Build strong customer and partnership relationships to ensure we maintain market share or sole source position with competitive threats.
- Lead key IDEX operating model tools such as Goal Deployment and Daily Management to support execution of strategic and tactical objectives.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required (Engineering / Technical field preferred); MBA preferred.
- Successful track record of General Management and/or Leadership experience in Water industry distribution preferred.
- Experience in Residential/Commercial Plumbing, and Municipal Wastewater markets.
- Proven success in building commercial strategy in a distribution business.
- Experience with implementing LEAN and/or Six Sigma tools; LEAN and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Track record as an agent of change, who has established customer-centric and engineering-minded technical teams that are leading their customers, and the market, through collaborative partnerships.
- Excellent communication, relationship building, and leadership skills with the ability to evaluate organizations and their talent as well as align them with customer and organizational goals.
- Ability to travel domestically as required, to successfully execute the above-listed responsibilities. Must be located in (or able to relocate to) Minneapolis, MN area.
