VideosDuties - Serves as the Assistant Aquatics Program Manager responsible for the daily operation and supervision of aquatic fitness, training and recreational programs, personnel, and classes at aquatic facilities.
- Works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager in managing pool(s) and assists in managing of the aquatic programs.
- Assists aquatic manager with coordination with the MWR marketing department to publicize aquatic events; assists with the process to evaluate the effectiveness of the aquatic programs.
- Assists with the development/update of the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs, enforces policies, and execution of the Installation Aquatic Risk Management Plan
- Interviews and selects such staff and provides them with required orientation, training and management in order to meet all activity needs.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:1). Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. An undergraduate or graduate degree in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology may be substituted for six (6) months of the required work experience.
2). Possesses and maintains the following certifications:
- Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, ELLIS);
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association);
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding Instructor and Water Safety Instructor.
3). The following certification must be obtained within 6 months of appointment:
- Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
4). In addition, the O2 Administration certification (Red Cross certified or installation offered training/i.e Fire Dept.) must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty.
All qualifying certifications must be uploaded at time of application.Highly Desirable Qualifications1). Familiar with Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).
2). Possesses a Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification.
3). Completion of MWR Sports and Fitness Administration Course.

PCS Costs- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
- Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses- Incentives will not be paid.
