This position will be responsible for Safety for the NA Manufacturing facility in Evendale, OH. Safety responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant local, state and federal regulations, and developing, implementing and sustaining best-in-class programs and standards for safety excellence. This position will also have responsibility for environmental compliance, and occupational health, and workers compensation administration.
The selected candidate will have a minimum of 5 - 10 years of safety management experience within a manufacturing environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management or equivalent required.
Additional required experience, skills and supporting activities to include:
* Demonstrated
strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive results.* Ability to provide insight, develop strategies and plans to achieve plant goals. * Experience in conducting workplace hazard assessments.
* Strong knowledge in administration of OSHA regulations including interpretation and implementation of standards.

Experience with emergency response including first aid, CPR, confined space rescue, spill and fire response. * Ability to recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazardous potential (lockout, confined space, hot work, etc.)* Demonstrated experience in developing and conducting employee safety training
* Knowledge in workers compensation administration.
* Preferred Environmental compliance knowledge around the following areas:
- Title V Air Permitting
- NPDES/ Waste Water Permitting
- Sara Reporting
- SPCC
* Experience serving as the contact with all federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
* Strong project management skills with the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
*
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and hourly associates.* Prior experience with a unionized workforce preferred
