Join our world-class team today Position Specific Description This internship position will support NextEra Energy’s Information Technology Department, Digital Workspace team with a focus on end-user endpoint technology. Digital Workspace is all the technology an end user consumes day to day, including laptop or workstation, associated hardware, operating system, software installed on that device, and software asset management. The End-User Endpoint Technology team builds and deliver on innovative ways of modernizing OS & End User endpoint management via: workflows, processes, support, and technologies products / services. We manage and monitor all end user devices/assets connected to the network. We empower our end users to securely and productively use any device anywhere. The cross functional nature of this position ensures that the candidate will have exposure to a wide variety of IT groups as well as business units outside IT. All of the employees and contingent workers at NextEra are our customers and we interact with them frequently to ensure we understand their need and concerns. The blanket of End-User Endpoint Technology touches all aspects of work in NextEra Energy, so the potential projects are myriad, but specifically we are focusing on the following initiatives: OS Endpoint Management Technologies– Improve end-user experience, reduce risk, and simplify IT management for Windows & MacOS. Drive efficiencies for IT while delivering the best possible experience for end users DaaS– Develop and implement virtual applications and desktop services via a public or private cloud service Software Asset Management- Provide visibility and control for management of software license throughout their lifecycle Security – We need to ensure the platform, products, and services we are managing are secure while minimizing impact on usability. This is a careful balance, and the End-User Endpoint Technology team works with the cybersecurity team to ensure we don’t upset it. Microsoft Office Tools – Utilizing M365, OneDrive, Windows Auto Pilot, and Intune to increase productivity and reduce IT support Monitoring, Observability, & Event Management- Develop, define and manage our Enterprise monitoring strategy for Observability and Event management Providing guidance and support to stakeholders and end users on using and benefiting from the monitoring capabilities and insights. Manage the monitoring and automation tool roadmap and propose and develop innovative solutions based on technology strategy. Collaborate directly with end users, Fusion Center, production support teams, and all product stakeholders to understand business requirements, help drive alignment, and build thoughtful solutions throughout IT. Preferred Qualifications: Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as experience working with others. Experience in leadership positions is a plus Enthusiasm for the renewable energy space is appreciated Education, Experience, Skills Academic focus in Engineering, Marketing, or Computer Science. Business Administration and Economics experience are a plus A student of how digital technology innovation business performance.
