We're Hiring for a Network Services Manager THE ROLE: As the Network Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing critical functional areas, with a strong focus on enhancing our network infrastructure. Team Development and Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high performing technical network team, both locally and remotely. Proactive Communication: Maintain open and proactive communication regarding network health, potential impacts, executive escalations, and critical analyses to management and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and trust. Problem Management Process: Develop and refine the problem management process to enhance long term network performance and stability, driving a culture of proactive issue identification and resolution. Process and Control Definition: Establish clear processes and controls for on call support, ensuring that team members are equipped and prepared to handle any incidents efficiently. Guidance and Support: Provide strategic guidance and support to network operations, driving initiatives to maintain the highest levels of network service availability and performance. Continuous Improvement: Champion a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities for enhancing network services and team efficiency. Root Cause and Corrective Action Leadership: Lead expert investigations into root causes of operational issues across network infrastructure and hardware platforms, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Empowerment through Procedures: Facilitate the empowerment of peer departments by providing them with effective procedures and tools, ensuring they can support business objectives seamlessly. Financial Management and Vendor Relations: Manage financials related to network operations and oversee third party vendor support contracts, ensuring cost effective solutions and high-quality service. Reporting to Senior Management: Deliver comprehensive reviews and reports to senior management on service disruptions, performance metrics, and launch plans, fostering informed decision making. New Solutions Deployment: Actively participate in the design and deployment of new networking solutions or updates to existing environments, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. 10 or more years of relevant experience architecting, designing, installing and maintaining network systems, preferably in large enterprise environments. 3 years of experience leading technical/engineering teams. Experience managing financials and vendor SLA / support contracts Proven experience managing teams and completing complex deployment projects within budget and timelines. Strong project management and planning skills. Skilled in team building and mentoring engineers. Proficient in managing time, complex tasks, and understanding SLAs and metrics. Solid grasp of ITIL services, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences. Experience in architecting large scale global networks.
