Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Energy Project Manager to join our client's team. This role involves managing the scope, schedule, and budget for various energy projects, with a strong focus on electrification and decarbonization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management within the AE industry and a solid understanding of the DoD way of doing things.
As an Energy Project Manager, you will collaborate with in-house design teams, including heavy electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines, as well as other disciplines and 4-5 subconsultants. The primary role of this position is to ensure project scope, schedule, and budget are maintained. You will be responsible for writing contracts, overseeing projects, and ensuring profitability. This primarily consists of overseeing and managing work both on and off-site, managing budgets and invoicing, and building relationships with multi-discipline design teams and clients. You will be responsible for managing an average of $3-6 million in revenue (fee) annually. The project work in this role is primarily for Federal / Department of Defense (DoD) clients. Travel is required about 50% of the time, depending on project life cycles, primarily within the continental United States (CONUS) and occasionally internationally (OCONUS).

Required Skills & Experience
* Experience: 5-10 years of direct project management experience in the AE industry, preferably closer to 10 years.
* Team Management: Experience managing multi-discipline design teams in the Architecture and Engineering (A/E) space.
* Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget with a focus on profitability.
*Leadership: Ability to perform with minimal oversight and adapt to the company's priorities.
* Technical Understanding: Background in electrification, with experience in supervising projects and managing scope, schedule, and budget.
* Initiative: Demonstrated ability to take charge and run projects independently or with minimal oversight, having managed projects from inception to completion.
* Education: Relevant technical background, education, and skillset.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Certifications: PMP, AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED AP accreditation, Certified Energy Auditor, Commissioning Authority (CxA).
* Federal Experience: Familiarity with DoD federal projects, especially with civil engineering command officers and shore-based infrastructure.
* Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs) and other federal codes, federal energy mandates, and executive orders.
* Meeting Facilitation: Experience organizing and facilitating project meetings with clients (e.g., Concept Design Workshops, Design Review Conference, Value Engineering studies).
* Business Development: Experience in business development is a plus.
