What We Seek...The CAD Design Engineer - Architectural Woodworking will work independently and as a member of the team developing cabinetry & architectural millwork construction methods from basic concepts to fully working design solutions, including follow through to production. They will need to be a collaborative and motivated individual who can use their organizational and critical thinking skills to meet project deadlines. This position requires an individual with strong concern for quality and accuracy with a results-oriented focus. Job Summary and Job Functions- Utilize Cabinet Vision software to design, draft, and process custom cabinets and woodwork.
- Create submittal and shop drawing packages.
- Prepare a bill of materials for projects processed to the floor.
- Assemble work order packets for the shop.
- Provide support to the production, supply chain, and project management team for your projects.
- Consistently uphold departmental quality standards.
- Learns Britten Woodworks software systems, processes and procedures quickly, and consistently shares ideas for improvement.
- Continuously seeks out ways to increase the profitability and efficiency of their projects.
- Maintains a high level of respect and communication with internal and external clients.
- Has an intimate knowledge of their projects throughout all stages of planning and production.
- Currently utilizes industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide the client with creative solutions.

Requirements
- 2 years experience in drafting, engineering, or architectural millwork related field preferred.
- Experience in AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Solidworks, Microvellum, or other engineering software preferred.
- Engineering, woodworking, cabinet making, or industrial design background.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Products.
- Sees challenges as opportunities and enjoys discovering solutions to overcome them.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
