Who are we looking for?GHD Inc. is seeking a broadly-talented and design-oriented California licensed
Landscape Architect to join a small independent design group in
Northern or Southern CA - a team consisting of other landscape architects, urban designers, and transportation planning experts.
This role will lend Landscape Architecture design services to a wide range of project types, from community master planning and public realm design to private and public sector landscapes that combine Civil Engineering and green infrastructure. You will be responsible for supporting our group through winning work and project management. Additional responsibilities include leading design efforts for planting, irrigation, and site / urban amenity layout and construction detailing.

- Landscape architecture project management for a wide range of project types, including roadways and intersections, private development, trails, parks, public access design, and habitat restoration
- Landscape Architecture Site Design and Large-Scale Planning
- Conceptual Design with Visual Communication
- Construction Documents and Construction Observation
- Public Outreach Facilitation and Stakeholder Engagement
- Visually compelling presentations and final reports
- Self-starter in identifying and pursuing new project opportunities
- Shared leadership and co-creation in a horizontal team structure
- Site research, programming, analysis, design calculations and costing
- Client-facing project leadership and care in client satisfaction
Technical Requirements: - Autocad (AutoCAD 2019 or Civil3D) required
- Sketchup required
- Microsoft Office required
- Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-design) required
- Lumion, Other Rendering Software required
- LandFX required
- ArcMap or QGIS a plus
- Revit a plus
Professional Requirements: - Strong project design talent
- Drafting and digital modeling to a professional level
- Strong graphic design skills
- Ability to take direction and constructively process professional critique
- Willingness to explore career paths among civil and other engineering teams
- Technical understanding of development elements for architecture or landscape architecture
- Technical familiarity with processes and workflow for architecture or landscape architecture
- Interacts well with other teams and clients to build productive relationships
- Self-organizes to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
- Maintains open communication and an open mind to a range of professional types
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel statewide or within North America

Qualifications: - Professional undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in landscape architecture, architecture, planning, or urban design required
- California Landscape Architecture License required
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Landscape Architecture
- Project Management experience required
- Planning, Architecture, or Urban Design experience a plus
- Knowledge in topics of focus such as green infrastructure, natural ecosystems, or urban public realm with placemaking a plus
- Caltrans project experience a plus
