Overview
The Solar Service Technician will trouble-shoot system issues, interface with customers, complete appropriate documentation, and report progress to dispatcher.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot system issues using a variety of tools and equipment including hand tools, ladders, and personal protective equipment, etc.
- Turning systems on and walking customers through its basic operation
- Setting up and scanning online monitoring units
- Document the project site with photos and digital forms
- Upload information and documents to project management software
- Additional duties required as needed
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years residential solar troubleshooting experience
- Must be able to lift 70lbs and maneuver a large ladder and other equipment as necessary
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops and in attics of multi-level buildings
- Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems
- Must be able to reach and interpret solar designs and electrical one-line diagrams
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Previous Solar PV installation experience required
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License and Clean Driving Record
