Regional Manager - Site Investigation ServicesOak Park, MIPOSITION SUMMARYPM Environmental, a Pinchin Company, is seeking a Regional Manager to join our Site Investigation Services team in the Oak Park, MI area.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONSThe Regional Manager reports to the Operations Manager - Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation and works with the Operation Managers, Senior Project Managers and Project Managers, and project staff assigned to individual projects. The Regional Manager is responsible for all aspects of the technical quality, management, and profitability of the firm's contracts under his/her control. Primary functions include:
- Serve as a Senior Project Manager for assigned projects, overseeing project execution, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation as required.
- Assign and schedule work and oversee their assigned staff; provide guidance as required.
- Maintain high level of technical knowledge of the services offered by the Group.
- Proactively manage group utilization and staffing levels to ensure targets (revenue/profitability) are achieved.
- Peer Reviewer and Senior Reviewer (if applicable or once approved).
- Ensure technical excellence and quality in the delivery of all services and products (field work and reporting, etc.).
- Collaborate with Team Leaders in other offices to maximize staff utilization and business development opportunities.
- Support the Operations Manager in proactively supervising employees including conducting performance reviews in a timely manner, managing expectations around training and professional development (including mandatory safety training, etc.), escalating employee relations concerns to Operations Manager and Human Resources, and maintaining communication with staff.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual operational budgets for the Group as well as Business Plans as required.
- Lead by example and in accordance with Pinchin's Core Values and desired culture.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS- B.S. in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- At least 10 years of diversified environmental consulting experience, at least four of which have been in a supervisory or management capacity consisting of planning, designing, and construction of environmental projects.
- Ability to work in various settings and climates.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- A valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain one in the state in which you are working.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be available for travel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision.
