Hiring Range :
Admin Tech II: $22.50-$26.44. The maximum pay for this position is $30.38.
Admin Tech III: $24.75-$29.09. The maximum pay for this position is $33.42.

The Admin Tech II performs clerical and administrative duties and is the front-line customer service representative at the Eagle County Landfill. Admin tech III is required to perform complex secretarial and administrative duties with a significant amount of independence within the Eagle County Solid Waste and Recycling Department. The Administrative Tech III maintains files, inventories, supplies, equipment, and records while performing bookkeeping, accounting, and billing functions.
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday (8am-5pm) and Saturdays (7am-3:30pm)

- Interacts with the public to assist with providing and verifying information, processing transactions and providing services related to a technical area of expertise.
- Answers the telephone, routes calls, provides the public with general information regarding department services, and responds to general public requests.
- Organizes and coordinates project logistics and resources to meet all deadlines and maintain quality.
- Operates computerized vehicle weighing system, performs bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities for the landfill account customers; performs monthly billing for account holders. Occasionally drives to drop off deposits and/or get change.
- Inventories and orders office supplies, equipment, uniforms, etc. to maintain sufficient inventory for the department.
- Helps other employees when needed
- Observes safety and security procedures, uses equipment and materials safely and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Serves the community by demonstrating Eagle County Government mission and core values and following relevant policies and procedures.

Admin Tech IIIFull job description for Admin Tech IIIResponsibilities:
- Interacts with the public to assist with providing and verifying information, processing transactions and providing services related to a technical area of expertise.
- Answers the telephone, routes calls, provides the public with general information regarding department services, and responds to general public requests. Organizes and coordinates project logistics and resources to meet all deadlines and maintain quality.
- Types letter, memos, charts, reports, minutes, agendas, and other types of correspondence on a computer. Verifies information and enters data on the computer to create or update records.
- Prepares reports, charts or tables from general specifications to present information in an easy to read format. Assembles a variety of data from office records for incorporation into various departmental reports and reports required by outside agencies. Categorizes and maintains manual and/or computerized filing systems; creates tracking systems and forms; enters data; cross-indexes and files documents and books alphabetically, numerically or by other designated classification.
- Assist with account payables, account receivables, budget monitoring and annual budget preparation for the Solid Waste and Recycling Department.
- Operates computerized vehicle weighing system; performs bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities for the landfill account customers; performs monthly billing for account holders.
- Interacts with others within the department and the public to resolve more complex problems and questions.
- Makes use of available tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of work done in the department/division/program.
- Inventories and orders office supplies, equipment, uniforms, etc. to maintain sufficient inventory for the department.
- Assist department management with various special projects and/or programs.
- Observes safety and security procedures, uses equipment and materials safely and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
