Annual Salary: $108,000+
Project Completion Bonuses: Potential 15% of annual salary
Work Location: 200 Wallins Corners Road (Amsterdam, NY Plant)
Territory/Region: Eastern North America (2 locations) US & Canada
The Gund Company is in the business of
engineered material manufacturing.We are the industry
leader in manufacturing and fabricating specialized engineered thermoplastic materials that provide a unique performance advantage. (think:
Customized non-conductive insulation
parts for diverse industries).
We manufacture and fabricate custom parts from drawings and sample parts (reverse engineering).
Job SummaryThe Environmental Health & Safety Manager provides regional support for multiple TGC locations to assist in recognizing and controlling hazards, creating a positive safety culture, and implementing, maintaining, and overseeing EH&S processes to ensure safe working environments and regulatory compliance. Position reports to the EH&S Director.
Responsibilities- Coordinate implementation of EH&S programs, activities, and initiatives with facilities.
- Ensure best practices are shared and standardize across facilities.
- Assists in the development of training content and the delivery of education and training.
- Travel to assigned facilities to evaluate (audit) EH&S practices, metrics, and culture.
- Develop plans to assist plant leadership in closing performance gaps.
- Support and assist facility leadership in the investigation of significant safety incidents.
- Assist with worker's compensation claims process as necessary.
Requirements
Requirements- Five (5) years or more of full-time experience as a dedicated environmental, health and safety practitioner in a manufacturing or similar environment, required.
- Bachelor's degree in safety engineering or environmental management, strongly preferred.
- Effective functional and organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy are required.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and rules and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of current state EH&S processes, required.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Experience working with Canadian and Mexican safety regulations is preferred.
Preferred Certifications- Safety and Health Environmental Professional (SHEP) General Industry
- Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) General Industry
Travel RequirementsThe Environmental Health & Safety Manager is required to travel
25% of the time, both domestic and international. (Eastern US and Canada)
