Job Description
- A & P qualification is desirable
- Have a knowledge of and be able to follow aircraft documentation.
- Perform aircraft assembly, maintenance and repair functions.
- An understanding and experience in electrical, RF and fibre optic cabling
- Repair and modify the wiring, equipment and systems using specific tooling.
- Manufacture electrical harnesses and parts following the instructions.
- Basic understanding and ability to follow aeronautical standards.
- Knowledge about how to work with work orders/job cards, test procedures, etc
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations applicable to working with complex mechanical systems, hazardous materials, and testing environments.
- Have autonomy at work and provide support when necessary.
- Being a good team member and give daily feedback about job progress.
- Perform the tasks in accordance with company protocols and policies.
- Be part of the ground crew for aircraft operations.
- Able to move within and outside the US for specific periods of time.
- Willingness to learn how to integrate payload into the airframe.
- Be based at Stennis International Airport, Mississippi.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience (3+ years) as an electrical technician, preferably in aviation or a similar field is desirable or ability to demonstrate hands on experience through another method.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Able to climb ladders, use forklift and scissor lift.
- Knowledge about the approach to aircraft, aircraft towing. Presence on the runway or taxiway to support take offs and landings, support flight testing on ground is desirable.
- Knowledge in electrical manuals and regulations eg AMM and IPC.
- Familiar with Wiring Diagrams and how to implement them.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed for testing and maintenance activities.
- Full valid driving licence, bike riding experience is desirable.
- Medically fit and able to run to support aircraft launch and recovery.
