SGRE is currently seeking highly talented and motivated candidates for a Wind Technician position. The candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary group to ensure top performance on our wind farms. The ideal candidate has the ability to work a flexible schedule, along with the ability to examine and resolve problems efficiently. S/he will provide excellent service to our customers, have the ability to work on complex systems in tough environments, and participate in the development of new field procedures and best practices. Travel up to 25% The Wind Service Technician position is Located at the US-Wasco, OR at Klondike III site. Relocation may be offered for this role should it be necessary. Responsibilities: Service and maintenance wind turbines. Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment. Troubleshoot errors on wind turbine. Escalate technical issues to assisting engineering functions. Perform mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site and remotely. Assist customer remotely and onsite and provides 2nd and 3rd level user assist in case of arising issues. Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers equipment. Assists in generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contributes to planning activities. Adheres to defined processes and applicable regulations. Be self-motivated, able to think quickly and address issues as they arise Required skills, education & knowledge : High school diploma or equivalent. 0 to 6 months experience into relatable field. Ability to work a flexible work schedule is required, along with the ability to evaluate and resolve issues efficiently Ability to evaluate and resolve problems with developed problem solving skills efficiently. Must be willing and able to work in stressful and sometimes dangerous situations, and in all weather conditions with varying work hours including overtime. Must deliver quality in all job aspects in a timely manner while maintaining safety at all times. Willing and able to climb 85m ladders daily. Flexibility to work outside of planned ours and willing to take on additional assignments as needed to maintain a high quality wind project for our customer. Willing and able to travel to assist other sites as requested and to maintain safety and technical certifications as required. Driving is an essential function of the job and applicants must have a valid driver's license at the time of application with an acceptable driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record and may be subject to periodic DMV checks of their license.
