Corporate Director of Sustainability Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Corporate Director of Sustainability to drive innovative strategies and initiatives that promote our commitment to environmental stewardship and corporate responsibility. This highly motivated, data-driven individual will be responsible for leading our sustainability initiatives and ensuring alignment with our company's strategic goals.This role is ideal for an innovative, articulate, and collaborative leader with a proven track record of success in corporate sustainability. You will ensure cross-functional alignment in our sustainability objectives, including climate change initiatives, plastics recycling, and alternative energy programs, while responding to requests for sustainability- and ESG-related data. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with disclosure reporting requirements across state, federal, and global standards. Responsibilities: Strategic Vision for Sustainability: Lead the development and execution of a strategic vision for sustainability, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and industry best practices. Internal Sustainability Programs: Oversee company-wide sustainability programs including energy efficiency, waste reduction, carbon footprint tracking, water usage, renewable energy transition, and sustainable procurement practices. Sustainability Reporting and Metrics: Lead the collection, analysis, and communication of sustainability data, ensuring adherence to global frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and CDP. Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely completion of sustainability data requests and surveys from customers, investors, and other external stakeholders. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor legislative developments related to sustainability, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and global standards while addressing sustainability-related risks. Innovation: Implement continuous improvements in sustainability practices, identifying opportunities to enhance environmental performance and reduce costs. Stay current on sustainability best practices and emerging technologies, and proactively recommend new initiatives or innovations. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the central point of contact for stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, and rating agencies, on sustainability and ESG matters. Communication: Collaborate across departments (Marketing, Internal Communications, Human Resources) to foster a culture of sustainability and develop communication strategies to promote awareness of sustainability initiatives internally and externally. Resource Management: Provide leadership in initiatives to reduce company-wide resource consumption and waste generation, overseeing budgeting and financial forecasting for sustainability-related activities. Requirements: MBA/Masters in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Public Policy, or related field preferred. Professional certifications (e.g., LEED, FSA, GRI, WELL) highly preferred. 7 years of experience successfully leading a sustainability program inclusive of corporate social responsibility, data analytics, environmental engineering, or climate accounting within a corporate environment. Expertise in Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculations and reporting. Experience with sustainability frameworks and tools like EcoVadis, CDP, GRI, SASB, and the GHG Protocol. Knowledge of ESG standards. Proven track record in corporate sustainability leadership, with experience developing and implementing successful sustainability programs. Familiarity with carbon standards and principles, corporate certification programs, and life cycle assessments. Ability to identify and implement innovative sustainability solutions, including energy efficiency programs and carbon offset initiatives.
