POSITION DETAILS: Job Type: Part-Time Pay: Hourly FLSA: Non-Exempt Schedule: Mon-Fri Days, open to occassional weekend if necessary Location: South Bend, IN Travel: No travel WHAT WE WILL EXPECT FROM YOU: The co-ops will support the implementation of our Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), eMaintenance. This position will work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure accurate alignment of P&IDs, DCS screens, and field data. Once the data is aligned, it will be inputted into the functional equipment tree within eMaintenance. Requirements: Education: Pursuing a degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (junior or senior level preferred) High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Knowledge/Skills: CMMS database management, Microsoft 365 applications Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow safety protocols. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities: Cross-reference Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Distributed Control System (DCS) screens, and perform field verification to ensure consistency across all systems. Update P&IDs and DCS based on findings from field verifications and cross-references. Ensure the equipment hierarchy, equipment tree, and Bill of Materials (BOM) are accurate and up-to-date. Complete templates for Fluke to build and optimize the CMMS equipment tree. Review and transfer equipment strategies (Preventive Maintenance plans) into the eMaintenance system. Once all systems and data are aligned, implement the information into the functional tree within eMaintenance. Collaborate with various departments to ensure equipment accuracy for the entire plant, establishing a solid foundation for the CMMS. Support cost-saving initiatives and provide accurate data for capital project justification by ensuring visibility into spending through equipment and maintenance data. Team Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional teams primarily engineering, maintenance, production, and Plant Leadership. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned. Workplace and Working Conditions: Plant Locations with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Work hours are Monday-Friday daytime hours and may occasionally require evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of the production schedule.
