Come see why people love working here We have an amazing opportunity for a Surety Program Specialist to join our team. This is a hybrid position reporting to our home office in Harrisburg, PA. The Surety Program Specialist's primary purpose is to support underwriters through the entire life cycle of bond submissions within particular lines of business as requested by the VP of Surety & Fidelity. This position works closely with underwriters during the submission, review, renewal, and closing phases of a bond as outlined by the VP Surety & Fidelity. COMPETENCIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE SURETY PROGRAM SPECIALIST Team Building Communicates requests and recommendations to designated underwriters with authority when required. Attention to Details Evaluates Bond Submissions and Applications for completeness to determine compliance with program guidelines. Orders/analyzes credit reports and prepare ADAI reports as required by program or underwriting guidelines. Reviews all reported bonds for completeness and accuracy. Requests/analyzes additional or missing underwriting info directly to agents. Shows familiarity with special underwriting programs and production commission deals with individual agents. Quality Orientation Prepares billings, adjustments, and other info for submission to processing department. Checks weekly to be sure all Rapid bonds sent to processing have been booked properly. Planning & Organizing Begins renewal process by requesting info from agents based on schedule dictated by program or bond type. Performs ImageRight file maintenance. Follows up with renewal info based on schedule dictated by program or bond type. Positive Approach Responsible for participating in general phone coverage. Participates in department meetings, calls, and initiatives.
