About the Company: Global leader in offering sustainable solutions for the generation of renewable energy Title: Sr Manager/Division Controller Salary: $120k-160k(DOE) Bonus Equity Job Description : This is a high-growth position that will play a critical role in all technical and complex accounting matters under both IFRS and U.S. GAAP, including percentage-of-completion for both revenue and cost recognition, leases, debt, equity, non-controlling interest, stock-based compensation, and business disposal. The role will report to VP Controller and will work closely with our external CPA firm (Deloitte) and all regional accounting teams in Europe, Asia, and North America. Responsibilities: Manage Monthly IFRS and GAAP financial reporting related to construction accounting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual project workpapers, project summaries, financial statements and other management reports for several legal construction entities. Assess and implement new US GAAP accounting standards and reporting requirements in all entities, such as: ASC 360 Impairment, ASC 420 Business Disposal, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition (percentage of completion, principal vs. agent), ASC 718 Stock Compensation, and ASC 840 Lease Accounting. Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP regulations as applicable. Submit timely and accurate monthly financial workbooks related to revenue and cost recognition under the percentage-of-completion method. Develop a monthly review process to ensure adequate accuracy of all account reconciliations related to construction projects, which includes intercompany and balance sheet accounting. Streamline the procedures and manage the process of month-end closing related to entities related to construction projects under the percentage-of-completion method. Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a CPA and prior Public Accounting experience required Experience in Financial Reporting and Management Reporting on a global basis Knowledge and experience of IFRS Exposure to global entities and global teams, including foreign currency transactions, multi-company consolidations and inter-company reconciliations Abundant experience with preparing or reviewing financial reports for public companies such as SEDAR reports in Canada and/or SEC reports in the U.S. Prior experience of using accounting systems such as Microsoft D365, Active Disclosure, Shareworks, and Jet Reporting
