Construction Project Manager, Data Centers Job ID 191103 Posted 04-Nov-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Data Centers, Project Management Location(s) Austin - Texas - United States of America, Georgetown - Texas - United States of America About the Role: As a CBRE Construction Project Manager for Data Center clients, you will be responsible for providing consulting services to an assigned client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives. The selected candidate will be required to be onsite in Georgetown, TX or Austin, Texas. This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. What You’ll Do: Manage all areas of project management for commercial data center projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout. Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification. Interface directly with client to lead client MOP (Method of Procedure) process for scheduling any and all data center construction related activity. May ensure standard methodologies are followed for design and delivery of critical facility system components and equipment. Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients. Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated. Direct the project delivery team by providing guidance and direction to achieve goals. Craft action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report the status and variances. Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks. Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams. Other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred. Knowledge of MEP systems or critical environment experience is preferred but not required. Prior experience with Construction management highly desired. Capability to read, understand and apply standard to sophisticated documents affecting construction projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawings. Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. Why CBRE?
