Job Responsibilities Under general supervision, plans, coordinates and performs a variety of administrative and professional functions activities for the Forest Management Division chief, Forest Renewal Program (FRP) and program managers for the Forest Stewardship program, Urban and Community Forestry Services program, State Forests and cost-share programs. 1. Plans, coordinates and performs administrative and professional activities for the Forestry Commission's Forest Renewal Program. Responsible for coordinating and maintaining records of application status, allocation of funds, and payments to landowners. Coordinates with the South Carolina Tax Commission and the Office of the Comptroller General on disbursement of funds to landowners. 2. Provides administrative activities for the Forest Stewardship, Urban and Community Forestry, State Forests and cost-share programs. Compiles and updates lists such as project foresters, consulting foresters, agency personnel directory, etc. Serves as administrative liaison with the Human Resources Office. Oversees SCEIS time and leave program, monitors leave usage via SCEIS; runs appropriate time reports, and makes adjustments/edits to time and leave. Distributes time sensitive materials and information to employees. 3. Compiles and analyzes the Forest Management Division reports. Receives, compiles, and analyzes customer surveys for forest management and forestry services. Calculates individual forester accomplishment data and compiles other data to support the agency's strategic plan progress report. 4. Performs duties for other divisions such as processing credit card transactions and requisitions, performs data entry and maintains accurate databases. Works on an agency customer service team routing phone calls, answering routine/nonroutine agency questions; directs customers to the appropriate offices; assists staff in initiating, processing, and disseminating information and materials. 5. Performs other related duties as required in support of the agency's mission and strategic goals. Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and five (5) years of relevant program experience or an associate degree with three (3) years of relevant program experience or a bachelor's degree and one (1) year of relevant program experience. Basic to intermediate computer proficiency. Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products. A criminal background check is required.
