General Purpose & Responsibilities Responsible for safely and efficiently operating various drills at a surface mining operation, drilling overburden, parting and coal in preparation for loading of holes with explosives. Assists powder persons in loading of drill holes as necessary. Inspects equipment before operating and ensures that it is in safe, operable condition. All work will be performed in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies for the mine to meet its budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity and environmental requirements.
Requirements- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Wyoming blaster's certification in surface mining operations.
- One to three years of drilling experience.
