Vernon, IL location is seeking a Sr Staff Project Engineer to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us? THE POSITION Sr Staff Project Engineer, Continental Tire The Americas, LLC, Mt. Vernon, IL: Prepare engineering project proposals for Passenger Light Truck and Truck Tire Curing presses. Define the technical concept for replacement of old or obsolete manufacturing machines. Assist in planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical aspects of projects, as well as relevant aspects in the start-up phase of the project. Participate in contractor/vendor meetings and assist in resolving engineering project issues. Managing the cross functional team(s). Engage in new machinery inspection and perform acceptance protocols. Create purchase orders. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate, related work experience. Must have 5 years of experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating projects for the tire manufacturing industry. Must have 3 years of experience in the tire manufacturing process. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Using Beckhoff, Siemens hardware and software tools (including TwinCAT, Iconics HMI, and TIA Portal) in recipe management systems for equipment programming and controls; Using curing presses as part of the tire manufacturing process; Tracking tire manufacturing project management metrics, including hours, costs, expenses and project timing; and Using AutoCad to review and revise drawings.
