Let’s Redefine Possible® SUMMARY Responsible for constructing and repairing wood and wallboard fixtures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principles. Responsibilities: Set up trailers You can study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information about the material type required, such as lumber or fiberboard. Measures the dimensions of the structure of the fixture to be fabricated Build decks, stairs, roofs, and other temporary structures between office units, plan tables, install shelves, setup tool trailers and/or connex's, silt fences and/or straw bales, setup site per erosion control plan Hand-set forms and assemble the gang forms Assist journeyman and foreman with the shooting of grades and elevations Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect of all pre-fabricated materials Concrete and rough carpentry Handset Walls Footings Set Gang Wall Forms Structural Concrete Decks Drywall Finish Carpentry, doors, frames, and hardware Millwork and cabinetry Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels All other duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams Strong teamwork orientation Positive attitude and professional customer service skills Detail orientation Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback High school diploma or GED Minimum of two years of experience as a carpenter Trade or technical school certification/diploma is a plus Benefits offered to Craft; non-union, full-time team members include: Medical and prescription drug plans – the choice between two affordable HSA-eligible medical plans that include vision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with generous matching and profit-sharing contributions Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Life, AD&D, and disability insurance Employee assistance program online mental health tool and concierge Tuition reimbursement Adoption Assistance Gym Membership Discount Program Identity Theft Protection Mortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer.
