The Commercial Construction Project Engineer plays a critical role in supporting project management teams on commercial construction projects. This position involves managing technical aspects, ensuring effective communication, and coordinating resources to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Description
Project Coordination:
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day project operations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical and logistical issues.
- Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Manage and distribute RFI (Requests for Information) processes and responses.
- Review and track submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain and organize project files, drawings, and specifications.
Cost and Budget Management:
- Assist with budgeting, estimating, and cost tracking.
- Review and process subcontractor invoices, change orders, and pay applications.
- Monitor and document potential project risks or changes to budget or scope.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Perform site inspections to verify quality standards and adherence to project plans.
- Document and address any deficiencies or deviations from specifications.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Participate in project meetings, preparing and distributing meeting minutes as needed.
- Provide consistent project updates and status reports to stakeholders.
Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD), and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
