This position is responsible for directing, developing, and overseeing the Dole Packaged Foods personnel safety, environmental, health and regulatory management programs. Provide environmental, health and safety support to all operational groups ensuring that all practices are following federal, state, and local regulations including but not limited to OSHA/CalOSHA, EPA, and DOT over multiple states.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local legislation and codes governing environmental, health and safety for all frozen manufacturing plants in the U.S. (Atwater CA, Decatur MI, McDonough GA).
- Maintain the Company's environmental plan, environmental programs and all environmental permits in manner consistent with Federal, State, Local and Company guidelines. Responsible for submitting all permits and maintaining all environmental files in manner that is consistent with Federal, State, Local and Company guidelines.
- Manage and report sustainability-related metrics in alignment with the Dole Promise.
- Maintain and record hazardous waste generation. Maintain hazardous waste manifests.
- Responsible for the implementation of all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Functions as liaison with governmental inspectors, agencies, and regulators.
- Builds a proactive safety culture within facilities.
- Conduct safety and environmental audits of all operating facilities including PHA, PSM and OSHA/CalOSHA programs.
- Work with key business partners to evaluate, develop and implement initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents/incidents.
- Develop and maintain Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP)
- Develops and coordinates EHS training plans for locations.
- Implement accident investigation, data analysis, recurrence prevention programs and procedures, and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
- Respond and provide direction in all emergency situations.
- Ensure all recordkeeping is timely and conforms to company mandates.
- Other duties as assigned.

Environmental- Knowledge and experience in waste management regulations
- Knowledge and experience of RMP/PSM regulations and compliance
- Knowledge with Environmental Regulations and compliance such as National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act(RCRA), etc.
Safety- Knowledge and experience in Occupational Health and Safety Regulations such as Lockout/Tagout, Bloodborne Pathogens, Emergency Preparedness, etc.
- OSHA 30 Certification, preferred
What You'll Need to Succeed:- Passionate about a purpose driven career
- 5+ years' related experience in EHS management or equivalent combination, food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to effectively present facts and recommendations in oral and written form.
- Strong leadership and effective team management skills
- Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations
- Strong experience as an Environmental and Sustainability subject matter expert
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Education & Certification:- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Strongly Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in occupational health and environmental safety or a related field
- Certified Safety Professional (CPS) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), a plus

Travel Requirements:- Estimated 20-25% travel required
