This individual will provide coordination and supervision of electricians and crews on solar project sites. 100% Traveling Supt Role on Rotation Locations: MN, AZ, TX, CA, OK, Midwest, CO The base compensation range for this role is $91,000 - $123,000 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%) This position is eligible for a potential annual bonus.] Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Responsibilities: Coordinate work projects within the scope onsite Partner with the Superintendent in electrical material, equipment sizing, and site utilization plan Work with Superintendent in development of project schedules and updates, and creation of 3 week look-ahead Ensure work teams have needed resources and support Supervise and ensure quality control of work team, including self-performed and subcontracted work Attend and participate in project meetings, and act as the liaison between field engineers and contractors or craft workers to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications Supervise and provide leadership for the team Coach, mentor, and train crafts Establish and nurture teamwork environment, promoting inclusivity, and valuing diversity Monitor work progress and performance of crafts, forepersons, and subcontractors Implement and monitor Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project site Other duties as assigned Other duties as assigned Maintain relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, etc. Manage site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvement Lead subcontractors and suppliers for the project Supervise budget and make recommendations for subcontractors and trade partners Lead project buyout with subcontractors and trade partners Facilitate and lead meetings between subcontractors related to project coordination Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: Perform on-site Project Manager duties on small scope projects Implement a quality plan that ensures the customer’s specified performance criteria in design and construction Qualifications: Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices Microsoft Office, MS Project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies Minimum five years construction/supervision experience, working with medium and high voltage projects Experience with self-perform projects Current driver’s license Ability to travel up to 100% to remote locations (keep home base wherever you choose) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience BENEFITS Mortenson provides a comprehensive benefits program to team members and their families to support their health, build long-term financial security and provide the opportunity for work and life balance.
