Duties - Performs seasonal gardening tasks involved with preparing planting areas, laying sod, watering, planting, transplanting, pruning and trimming plants, shrubs and trees.
- Maintains flowers and seeded areas to ensure attractive appearance.
- Applies fertilizers and chemicals.
- Reports atypical plants to supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and the pushing of carts and wheelbarrows.
- Climbing is required to prune or trim vegetation.
- Lifts and carries heavy objects such as bags of fertilizer, grass seed, etc. weighing up to 50 pounds.
QualificationsQualifications:- Must have demonstrated knowledge of seasonal gardening tasks, such as fertilizing, preparing seedbeds, transplanting, laying sod, aerating, pruning, trimming, and applying chemicals to plants. This skill/knowledge "must" be clearly reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
- Must be able to work under general supervision, responding to initial oral and written instructions and completing assigned tasks.

PCS Costs- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
Incentives and Bonuses- Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances- Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
