SUMMARY:
As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for building and maintaining digital products to help these companies along, accelerate their decarbonization journey, and provide reliable sustainability data as a single-source-of-truth across the enterprise, augmented with best-in-class analytics and optimized tooling to help them successfully navigate the complexity of decarbonization.

As the Director of Engineering for our digital experiences, you will lead technology teams building and maintaining platforms directly engaging with Impact's clients to accelerate their decarbonization journey via reliable sustainability data augmented with best-in-class analytics.
- Lead a world-class distributed team constructing and integrating intuitive web platforms leveraging big data and analytical technologies.
- Define the long-term technical vision and strategy to deliver it in a way that will rally and inspire the organization around the shared vision for success.
- Establish and track clear, useful metrics to stay focused on the most important things, ask the right questions and continuously improve.
- Ensure high quality code by creating and enforcing technical standards and quality assurance processes while managing the quality assurance teams.
- Partner closely with product managers and designers to understand requirements and prioritize work into an Engineering Roadmap as a team.
- Drive technical and business operational excellence overseeing the platforms DevOps function.

The pay range for this role is: $108,800 - $182,850. Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Additional ENGIE benefits include a 401k plan, paid time off, and annual bonus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in SaaS software engineering.
- Experience with modern web development and web-scale architectures.
- 7+ years of experience leading and managing an engineering team, including hiring and performance management.
- Passion and proven success in test automation and DevOps.
- A proven track record of delivering technology products on time, on schedule, and on budget.
- Successful experience with a full product life cycle using Agile methodologies.
- Detail-oriented and data-minded.
- Establishing a culture that encourages honest candor, transparency, and recognition.
- Ability to collaborate, mentor, learn from other engineers, and treat colleagues with empathy and respect.
- Enough humility to admit when you're wrong and learn from both your mistakes and your successes.
- Stay up to date on technologies and trends and be capable of making informed decisions about technology investments.
- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the company.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills with team members and management both in-person and remote.
- Effectively work and contribute as part of a global team and collaborate with stakeholders outside of Engineering.
- Familiar with Cloud technologies (AWS).
- Energy and/or ESG familiarity a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Hybrid in 2024 with three days per week onsite.
