Job Description MUST BE LOCAL TO ARIZONA - We will not sponsor for this role Job Description Job Title: Junior Tester Reports To: Director of Systems Development Manual Tester Job Summary: Our company is growing rapidly and is looking to fill the role of Junior Tester. The Junior Tester will work with the development team to test software and identify defects. They will be responsible for executing test cases, reporting defects, and verifying fixes. The Junior Tester will also be responsible for creating and maintaining test documentation. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Document test cases, execute them and report any identified issues. Verify fixes and maintain test documentation. Work with the development team to identify defects. Participate in the software development life cycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development process. Identify departmental needs and reports to management as appropriate. Identify problems, research alternatives, prepare presentations, drive solutions, test to confirm, gain consensus, and implement solutions for multiple applications within multiple functions. Troubleshoot and guide others on a wide variety of complex problems and identify solutions within broad application and functional expertise. Coordinates new development activities and assess that they are consistent and well-integrated with the established document metadata model and solutions. Manage routine & special projects which may require oversight of other departments' work and coordination of a wide variety of functions. Oversee and provide guidance to peers and serve as reference point for questions on day-to-day basis. Report staff productivity on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis Review test plans and participating in system testing activities as per QA processes Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), conduct training for stakeholders and report to the developers if any error occurs. Qualifications Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help to create, develop and implement process improvement(s). Experience with software testing Knowledge of software testing methodologies Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral direction(s) to project personnel. Must have advanced analytical, planning, and multi-task skills/abilities. Must be able to travel to corporate office as needed. Regular attendance is mandatory.
