Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team:

Write, develop, organize, and review project studies, reports, and design documents for water resources projects.
Provide field services and construction oversight for water resources projects such as dams, levees, streams, and lakes.
Be a mentor and develop younger engineers to become effective water resource modelers, designers, planners, and project managers.
Engage in public speaking regarding civil engineer water resources projects.

Likely Water Resources projects this role will be involved in are: hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, storm water planning, stream restoration, design of flood reduction and water quality improvements, and watershed-scale plans and studies.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in water resources engineering, preferably in the Midwest.
South Dakota Professional Engineer's License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
Demonstrated experience with urban and rural hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Experience as a Project Manager developing water resource project work scopes, budgeting and schedules.
Exceptional communication skills; ability to communicate with team members, client groups, and public.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel periodically.
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
