Position Scope and Organizational Impact The Solar Electrical Assistant Superintendent will provide essential support and coordination for utility-scale solar projects. Working closely with Superintendents, contractors, and on-site teams, this role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, high-quality installation of electrical systems across multi-state solar sites. This position requires a positive, adaptable approach to working with all team members in a dynamic setting, aiming to contribute significantly to America's clean energy future. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support the high-quality installation of electrical components, including underground electrical collection systems. Collaborate with the Electrical Superintendent and General Electrical Superintendent to develop and update project schedules and three-week look-aheads. Ensure work teams have necessary resources and maintain consistent quality across self-performed and subcontracted work. Manage quality control processes and ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and contract updates. Supervise and assist with the installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic cables. Review procurement of electrical resources and coordinate with subcontractors and site activities. Participate in project meetings and act as a liaison between field engineers and subcontractors. Oversee the safety, quality, and efficiency of all electrical work performed on-site. Coach, mentor, and provide direction to field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents. Produce reports, including Method of Operation instructions and energization processes. Identify staffing needs, support hiring processes, and make recommendations for training and career development of field personnel. Maintain professional relationships with site visitors, including clients, architects, and subcontractors. Ensure site logistics are optimized and provide continuous improvement suggestions. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years' experience with medium voltage equipment, including collection line installation. Experience supporting large self-perform projects with expertise in medium voltage cable installation and maintenance. Familiarity with electrical drawings, underground duct banks, SCADA systems, and the testing and commissioning processes. Possess current driver's license and ability to travel 100% of the time, including rotations. Knowledge of testing methods such as Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, and Doble testing is preferred.
