Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Project Management: Manage environmental project activities, including scheduling, tracking, and planning for environmental assessments, site investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans. Compliance Strategy Development: Develop strategies to meet regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Remediation Efforts: Analyze, develop, and implement activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all remediation efforts. Environmental Risk Assessment: Assess the environmental risk of activities and advise team members on the potential environmental impact. Sampling and Monitoring Plans: Develop and implement sampling and monitoring plans, which may include installing, operating, and maintaining equipment to monitor air, land, and/or water pollution levels. Data Interpretation and Compliance: Interpret data and observations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines, advising management accordingly. Regulatory Evaluation: Evaluate current and proposed codes, standards, regulations, and guidelines to determine their impact on current and future programs and activities. Technical Documentation: Prepare technical documentation for management's use when dealing with regulatory agencies and for other internal/external needs. Industry Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies developed by the industry and government regulators. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, the Environmental Engineer may need to indirectly supervise by training managers and supervisors on specific regulations or procedural changes. Additionally, the role may involve directing individual employees or groups on specific tasks and procedures to ensure compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Proven experience in environmental engineering or a related role, particularly in project management and compliance. Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance strategies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret and apply environmental data and observations effectively. Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical documentation and advise management.
