Solar Install Manager to lead our installation teams and ensure the successful execution of projects.
Role OverviewAs the Solar Install Manager, you will oversee daily operations for our solar installation teams, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities - Team Preparation:
- Equip installation crews with necessary tools, equipment, and materials each morning.
- Review and approve designs to ensure all materials are accounted for and accurate.
- Coordinate with scheduling to maintain an optimized weekly install and service calendar.
- Project Oversight:
- Monitor and review ongoing and completed projects for compliance and quality assurance.
- Reschedule and address any incomplete projects promptly.
- Conduct construction reviews of incoming projects to ensure readiness.
- Site Management:
- Perform 2-3 weekly job site visits to assess safety protocols, team performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all employees adhere to safety standards, including tie-offs, hard hats, and proper vehicle parking.
- Maintain professionalism by enforcing clean, branded appearances for employees and vehicles.
- End-of-Day Operations:
- Confirm work completion and ensure accurate documentation of project details in work orders.
- Review installation photos to verify quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications- Minimum of 2+ years of solar or electrical management experience.
- Current Journeyman Electrician or equivalent or ability to obtain licensure
- NABCEP Certification is a huge plus!
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects.
- In-depth understanding of solar installation processes, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools and scheduling systems (e.g., Coperniq).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
