E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a
Senior Nuclear Engineer to join our team in
Reston, VA in support of NGIC. NGIC is the Defense Department's primary producer of ground forces intelligence. NGIC produces scientific and technical intelligence and military capabilities analysis on foreign ground forces required by warfighting commanders, the force modernization and research and development communities, Department of Defense, and national policymakers.
- Supports defense analytic requirements with enhanced scientific and engineering research, as well as reverse engineering analysis.
- Conduct facility and vulnerability assessments on foreign nuclear capabilities.
- Be part of a unique, multi-discipline team assisting partners to fuse operations and intelligence information to enhance government efforts against current and emerging threats, and counterproliferation efforts.
- Prepares products to describe and document findings and activities.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience or 12+ years of experience supporting defense analytic requirements with nuclear engineering research in lieu of a degree.
- Experience reviewing analytical products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support.
- Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have and be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of nuclear sub-disciplines like thermos-hydraulics, seismic events, physics, computational science, or fission reactor engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, engineering technologies, or a physical science field.
